This release is for Intel 32 bit processors running OS X 10.4 or higher. It bundles a recent version of the PCRE library (see * below for details of why this is a good thing). It is bzipped because the 10.4 package format is not a single file and would not otherwise download correctly. I do not have access to a 10.4 or 10.5 Macintosh, hence this package is supplied untested as-is. Please do get in touch via the mailing list if you find issues with the release.

* External PCRE library notes

Privoxy's source code includes a very out of date version of the PCRE (Perl-Compatible Regular Expression) library's source (V3.0). This library is used to match actions and filters against the URLs you browse to, so bundling a more recent version (V8.21) improves accuracy and speed when processing URLs.
